The 2010 Ford Explorer SUV has many features designed to keep you and your family safe on the road. Here are some of the safety features that you will find in this vehicle:
Electronic Stability Control (or ESC).
This system which is rapidly gaining in popularity on new vehicles, helps keep drivers in control of their vehicle if they need to suddenly brake or swerve in order to avoid an obstacle on the roadway. It works by reducing engine power or applying the brakes to some of the wheels if it senses that the steering does not match the direction of the vehicle.
Tire Pressure Monitoring System.
As many serious accidents occur because of driving with inappropriate tire pressure, a system which measures the quantity of air in the tires and alerts the driver to any possible under-inflation.
Advanced Airbag Features.
