2008 Hamann Sportivo Fiat 500 Cars

HAMANN-Motorsport is renowned as a tuning company for BMW and for refining sinfully expensive luxury cars. But sometimes the Laupheim-based technicians move off the beaten tracks and devote themselves to something completely unexpected – in this case the Fiat 500. The HAMANN-technicians started with a lot of joy and enthusiasm for the cool little retro sports car and developed the extensive HAMANN sportivo–tuning programme. Striking 17-inch rims and a lively flag pattern optically emphasize the racy character of this little Italian. The strong sound of the HAMANN-sport exhaust system for the 1.4 litre petrol car also underlines this acoustically. A performance optimization for the diesel model, progressive chassis springs and a newly-developed braking system round out the racy appearance and provide a speedy joyride.

The design wheel HM sportivo I stands for trendy mobile appearance and perfect handling. The matt black varnish rim in one piece has a diamond-polished outer edge and is offered in the size 7.0 x 17. HAMANN recommends matching tyres in the sizes 195/40 ZR17 or 215/34 ZR 17 by its technology partner Hankook. A complete wheel-set can be obtained from 1,420 €. The HAMANN-set for lowering chassis leads to a further improvement in handling the car and ensures that the vehicle centre which is made up from four progressively spun springs is lowered by 30mm.

The sport exhaust system which was especially devised for the 1,4 litre petrol car renders a thrilling sonorous sound. The system includes a muffler (from 390 € onwards) with two round end pipes made of high-grade steel (70 mm diameter), a pre-muffler with metal catalyst and a sport fan manifold. All components can also be obtained individually. Also for this model, HAMANN developed a stable sport braking system for improved deceleration values. The set consists of two perforated and ventilated brake discs (diameter 280 x 28mm) at the front axle in connection with red 4-piston fixed yokes and steal flex brake lines. The back axle can be upgraded with brake discs measuring 240 mm in diameter.

The increased performance by HAMANN costs 699 € for the 1,3 Multijet 16V Fiat 500 diesel model. After re-programming the integrated control unit, the motor renders up to 90 hp / 66 kW at 4,000 r.p.m. (series: 75 hp / 55 KW) and a maximum torque of 230 Nm at 1,750 r.p.m.

* power upgrade through reprogramming of the ECU and/ornew exhaust system
* alloy wheel program with highlight „Edition Race“ in 20” and Hankook tyres
* sports brake system

Lamborghini – the brand is synonymous with sporty automobile pleasure for the street. And when you see the Gallardo, you also know why. 520 hp is at work inside this attractive and, most importantly, airflow-optimized body. For owners, who think it leaves not enough impression on its beholders, can order the brandnew wide HAMANN body-kit “Victory”, making the Gallardo the ultimate head turner. Various HAMANN power upgrades promise better perfomance.

Wider alternative “Victory“

Already the first impression of the HAMANN Lamborghini Gallardo “Victory” indicates that this is hardly a standard model. The eradicatively changeed look which is provided by the new HAMANN-made wide body-kit easily outpaces the series model. The kit goes by the name of “Victory” and represents the newest coup from HAMANN for the Lamborghini Gallardo. The kit consists of a wide body-version front apron characterised by a HAMANN front spoiler and an adjustable Cup racing-spoiler lip. HAMANN fender extensions are mainly responsible for the the beefy appearance. Perfectly matched are also wide body-side sills and a new rear apron. A four part rear wing is working together with a rear diffuser to achieve better downforce values. An air scoop on the roof finally rounds off the racing looks.

Thanks to the comprehensive aerodynamic components, the HAMANN Lamborghini Gallardo makes a clearly sportier, more individual and more exclusive impression.

Hamann does up the Ferrari 599 GTB 2010

Hamann, the tuner of all manner of exotica, has gotten their grubby little paws on Ferrari's finest grand tourer, the 599 GTB.

To begin with, the Hamann treatment does not augment the engine, exhaust or suspension in any way, instead leaving the 600+ HP, V12 to do its job as Ferrari's engineers saw fit.

Hamann opted to focus their attention on the 599's bodywork, adding a chin spoiler, extending the side skirts and tacking on a new rear diffuser. Although down force is rarely a problem with Marnello motorcars, Hamann added a duo of wings: one gracing the edge of the bumper, while another sits atop the rear window.

Naturally, wheel choice is where the tuner excels and in the case of the 599, 21-inch wheels are fitted at all four corners, with 245 tires up front and 345s in the rear.

If you've got the coin, you could certainly do worse, but we think the 599 GTB speaks for itself quite well, right from the factory.

German tuner Hamann specializes in tuning exotic sports cars

Usually, German tuner Hamann specializes in tuning exotic sports cars but occasionally the firm lends its expertise to more sedate segments in the car world. And now, the 2009 BMW 7-series luxury saloon is the car that they has announced a tuning package for that car.

With the BMW, Hamann has been working closely since 1986, but this relationship has mostly surrounded the carmaker’s motorsports efforts. However, the competence gained there can still be applied to non sports models, which we can see clearly in the latest modified 7-series. It some modification to the exterior of the car such as custom side skirts, a rear spoiler on the boot and custom tailpipes.

It is equipped with the new body alterations is a set of 22in Evo wheels, which are attached to a performance suspension kit that sits up to 40mm lower than the stock model. Also, the interior has been given an upgrade, with custom seats, floormats bearing the Hamann logo and with new aluminum sports pedals.

For the power upgrades, Hamann only tinkered with the diesel-powered 730d, and will give the power output of the 245hp (180kW) stock engine by 45hp (33kW). Hamann also upgrade the engine found in the current 750i model – the 4.4L twin-turbo V8 unit – as well as the new 760i V12. Eventhough, the tuning of the 750i should be a cracker in terms of performance, as the tuning firm is not known for its restraint in this area. The previous of the modification of BMW 7-series V8 featured a 7.1L engine with 510hp (383kW) and a top speed just a few miles shy of 200mph.
