The 2010 Cadillac SRX falls under the category of the conventional fully modern luxury crossover vehicle. The SRX model is sharing most of the features from the General Motors's other vehicles. The powertrain used in the SRX is the biggest difference when compared with the Provoq model. It uses the E-Flex powertrain that is based on the Volt along with an extender, the fuel cell range.
The design of the vehicle has more aggressive SUV appearance. The most notable difference between the SRX and the Provoq is the grille. The fuel cell powered Provoq had the controlling the shutters in grille that opens and closes depending on the cooling demands by the powertrain. While in the SRX, the system is reverted much similar to the STS and the CTS models. The fog lights that work on the LED technology in the front corners have been replaced by the more conservative looking lights. The vehicle appears like a Cadillac and fits with the family of CTS cars.
More conventional door handles, side mirrors, tail pipes and the door handles have been changed when compared with the predecessor model Provoq. The navigation screen unit is fitted in the vehicle, similar to that of CTS. The vehicle comes with the parking brakes that are operated electronically and can be activated by the use of switch on the console, which is located at the left side of the shift lever. The footwell space in the vehicle is freed up by the EPB other wise the space would be occupied by the foot activated unit.
